A North Carolina man allegedly slept in a bed next to his deceased girlfriend's body for days, rather than reporting her death. Randall Johnson, 44, was arrested Saturday after the body of Carla Jean Baggett was found in the couple's bedroom. Baggett was last seen alive Wednesday. Her mother, nephew and sister all lived in the single-wide mobile home in Williamston with the couple, but family members say Johnson kept coming up with excuses regarding why his girlfriend wasn't leaving their bedroom. Deputies believe that Johnson had been sleeping next to the corpse for a few nights. They do not suspect foul play and there is no indication that Johnson was involved in Baggett's death. He has been charged with concealing a death from law enforcement and is being held on a $100,000 secured bond.
